From today on, Hardware.Info has an additional functionality: user reviews! From now on it is possible to write a review for any of the over 25000 products in our database. That wa you can share your knowledge and experience about products you purchased with every other hardware enthusiast. Just as importantly, reviews by others will help you to make the best possible choice when you are looking for new hardware. 

All product pages have been updated with an additional tab: aside from Specifications, Reviews and Buy, from now on there is a tab User Reviews, from where you can write your own reviews or read others'. At the same tab you will also find a listing of all Hardware.Info members who have used the product in their configuration. Writing a review of course starts by pushing the button 'Click here to write a review about this product'.

On the page that then appears you can share your opinion about the product in a structured fashion. At the top of the page you can give an indication about how long you have owned the product. After that section you can rate the product for a number for features, a general rating as well as one or more criteria for specific aspects. For monitors for example those are Contrast and brightness, broken pixels, colour reproduction, reaction speed and design. After that you are required to answer two important questions: would you recommend the product to others and would you buy another similar product of the same brand again. After the rating section, you can provide one or more good and bad points for the product.

The last section of a user review is writing your own review. For this you can use the clever editor, which supports images, smileys, links and lists. To help you structure your review we have provided the various criteria that are attached to a product group as sub headers, but you are of course free to use them or provide a different structure. 

After adding a review a secondary tab will appear called Photos. Here you can upload photos of the product you have made yourself, so others can see how you use it. The photo format is adjusted automatically on uploading, both file size and picture dimensions will be adjusted. Once you have uploaded a photo, an url will be provided to add in your review.
