Mini-ITX GM45 motherboard by MSI
MSI has announced a new motherboard, based on Intel's GM45 chipset. The IM-GM45 is suited for a Home Theater PC (HTPC) or a compact home server.
The GM45 northbridge is linked to Intel's ICH9M-E southbridge, the board supports 45nm Core 2 mobile Socket P processors. The two SO-DIMM memory slots can house up to 4 GB DDR2 at 667 or 800 MHz. Intel's GMA X4500 is integrated, supporting DirectX 10 and hardware acceleration of MPEG2, H.264 and VC1 formats. The card has three outputs, D-Sub, DVI and HDMI. The motherboard features four SATA-II ports, a PCI-slot, one IDE-connector, Mini card slot for a wireless network card, two Gbit LAN ports, eigh USB ports, two PS/2 connectors and 7.1 audio.
