The Apogee GTZ has a higher cooling capacity than the GTX. According to Swiftech, this is because of the new coldplate design. It has a copper structure with 225 µm small pins. The bottom of the block is also polished. The Apogee GTZ comes with an attachment kit for Socket 775. Similar kits for socket 771, 603, 604, AM2, F, 754, 939 and 940 can be purchased seperately.
