ASRock launches nForce 780a SLI motherboard

ASRock is releasing a motherboard based on nVidia's new nForce 780a SLI chipset, the ASRock K10N780SLIX3-WiFi. The motherboard is compatible with all AMD processors for socket AM2 and AM2+. In case the processor supports it, the board can use Hyper Transport 3.0 and DDR2-1066 memory.

The motherboard features three PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots and offers support for nVidia's 3-Way SLI. The green slots can actually run at 16x, whereas the blue one runs at 8x. Present on the board are: Gbit LAN, eSATA, six SATA II 300 ports with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 and JOB, two FireWire ports and a 802,11g WiFi antenna.

The ASRock K10N780SLIX3-WiFi comes with software for the so-called OC Tuner and Intelligent Energy Saver Features, allowing to overclock throuh software, or save power. The motherboard should be available already, though the recommended price is still unknown.
